During this class you will use a chair or other props to help with support in each pose. No more feeling like you are going to fall over or that you just can’t do a yoga class. Chair yoga allows individuals to complete poses while using a chair for support and stability. It is practiced sitting on a chair or standing using a chair for support. The poses are often adaptations of ordinary yoga asanas.
Before you know it, you will be on your way to creating stability in your practice which is a wonderful way to improve your mobility, deepen flexibility, increase range of motion and strengthen personal body awareness.. Chair Yoga is suitable for all ages and abilities, for students who are new to yoga, confined to a desk at work, or unable to participate in a traditional yoga class because of aging, injury, or disability.
